in December 2010 Nominees, Spread Your Warmth

The first nominee for the December edition of Sweatshirt Blanket’s Spread Your Warmth campaign is Adopt A Husky. They are a Siberian Husky rescue serving the Midwest and Pacific Northwest regions.

Founded in 1998 Adopt a Husky has become a safe haven for mistreated, abandoned and stray Siberian Huskies. They have successfully found forever homes for over 1,100 Siberian Huskies.

Adopt a Husky’s dogs are in a network of foster homes in the various states they support. There is no shelter or kennel to visit. Once approved as an adopter, a person or family can arrange to meet the dogs at one of their foster homes.

Currently they are set up to conduct adoptions in Illinois, Wisconsin, portions of Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio and the Pacific Northwest. After making an application to become an adopter the process generally takes anywhere from one to four weeks and includes a home visitation.

Thank you to Noel Dagley for nominating Adopt a Husky for the December edition of Sweatshirt Blanket’s Spread Your Warmth campaign. If you would like to learn more about this cause visit their website.
