in October 2010 Nominees, Spread Your Warmth

In day two of our “6 after 6″ profiles for the October edition of Sweatshirt Blanket’s Spread Your Warmth Campaign we actually have the third place contestant for May’s contest. We actually had co-winner’s that month, so we went a little deeper for our participant.

Give Kids the World Village

Today’s nominee for the May edition of the Spread Your Warmth campaign is Give Kids The World Village, a non-profit resort that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Wish-granting organizations coordinate transportation to Orlando, while Give Kids The World provides accommodations at its whimsical resort, attractions tickets and meals for a week-long fantasy vacation. Since its founding in 1986, Give Kids The World has welcomed more than 97,000 families from all 50 states and over 65 countries.

The story of Give Kids The World begins with a little girl with a wish and the desire of one man to make that wish come true. Amy, the little girl, had leukemia and one wish – to visit the theme parks in Orlando.
