in October 2010 Nominees, Spread Your Warmth

Day five of our “6 after 6″ participants brings us the second dog rescue organization in as many days. Like May, we had a two way race at the top spot, so today’s nominee for the October edition of Spread Your Warmth technically finished third. Still, we are excited that they are back in the running.

Big Fluffy Dog Rescue

As we enter the last week of the month we have four more nominees on tap for the August edition of the Spread Your Warmth campaign. Today’s nominee, Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, is an organization dedicated to helping giant breed mixed breed dogs in need.

They value dogs of all breeds, but specialize in what the name says: big, fluffy dogs. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennesse, Big Fluffy Dog Rescue has volunteers in several states in the South and New England who work to help homeless big fluffy dogs find a home to call their own. They specifically work to save Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands and their mixes from euthanasia.

I really admire Big fluffy Dog Rescue for what it has been advocating. An organization like this brings back my confidence to humanity.
